Terms of use

These terms apply to your use of Meridian Models. Meridian Models is operated by Meridian Models Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who can use Meridian Models
You must be at least 18. By registering you confirm that you are, and that the details you give are true. If we have an account or profile feature, you are responsible for keeping your login secure.
2. What Meridian Models is today
Meridian Models is a platform that lets models, agencies and brands find each other and share information about work. It is in an early, preview stage. Registering records your interest and lets us write to you; it does not create a booking, a membership or a paid plan.
Some features shown on the site, such as paid plans, payment protection, verification and messaging, may not be available yet. When one launches it will carry its own price and terms, shown to you before you pay or agree. We do not take payments through this site at present.
Unless we say otherwise in writing, we are not a party to any booking. Any agreement about work, pay, usage or travel is between the model and the client. We do not employ models and we are not their agent.
3. Castings and third-party listings
Castings and jobs shown on Meridian Models come from two kinds of source: clients and agencies who post with us, and public postings by other organisations that we summarise in our own words and link back to. Each of the second kind names its source and links to the original page.
We do not verify every posting, and we do not guarantee that a casting is genuine, that it is still open, that a client will pay, or that work will go ahead. A listing may close or change at its source without notice. When you apply to a listing from another site, you apply on that site, and its own terms and privacy policy govern what happens to your information.
Never pay to be considered for work. Be careful with anyone who asks for money, moves the conversation to a private messaging app, or offers pay that sounds too good to be true. Read our safety guide before you accept work, agree terms in writing with the client, and use the report page if something looks wrong.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the photographs, text and other material you upload. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, resize and distribute it on Meridian Models and in material that promotes Meridian Models, for as long as it remains on the site. You confirm you have the right to give that licence, including permission from anyone identifiable in your content and from the photographer where needed.
5. Acceptable use
You will not: post content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive or sexually explicit; post or request anything involving a person under 18; impersonate anyone; ask talent to pay to be considered for work; use the site to recruit people for anything other than genuine work; scrape or copy the site’s data in bulk; or interfere with how the site works. We may remove content and restrict or close accounts that break these terms.
6. Our content and trademarks
The design, software, text and name of Meridian Models belong to us or our licensors. You may view and use the site for its intended purpose, but you may not copy or reuse it beyond that without our written permission. Third-party listings remain the property of their publishers; we describe them and link to them, and we do not claim them as ours.
7. Removal and rights-holder requests
If you published a posting that appears on Meridian Models and want it changed or removed, or you believe something on the site infringes your rights, write to business@meridianmodels.com with a link to the page, who you are and what you want done. We will act on well-founded requests promptly. We may remove content, and close accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
8. Fees
Where a plan or service has a price, the price and billing period are shown before you pay. Taxes may be added where required. Cancellation and refund rights are as shown at checkout and as the law of your country gives you.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Meridian Models running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or withdraw features, and we may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will say so on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
10. Our responsibility
The site and its listings are provided “as is”. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from bookings made between users, from postings or content published by others, or from indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim about the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months and US$100.
11. Your responsibility
You are responsible for what you post and for how you use the site. You will compensate us for losses we suffer because content you posted, or your breach of these terms, infringed someone’s rights or broke the law.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Meridian Models at any time and ask us to delete your records through the contact page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live still apply to you, including any right you have to bring a claim in your local courts.
14. General
These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. If part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a term straight away, that does not mean we give it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business.
