Privacy policy

Last updated 7 October 2026.

This policy explains what personal data we collect through Meridian Models, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it. Meridian Models is operated by Meridian Models Inc., a Delaware corporation, which is the controller of the data described here. You can reach us at business@meridianmodels.com.

What we collect

  • When you register interest: your name, email address, city, whether you are a model, agency or brand, the plan you clicked, the time you submitted, and your confirmation that you are 18 or over and agree to our terms and this policy.
  • When you write to us or send a report: your name, email address and the message you send.
  • When you have a profile or post a casting: the information and images you add, which are shown on the site as you choose.
  • Technical data: your IP address and browser details appear in our hosting provider’s server logs. We also use your IP address, in a form that cannot be read back, only to limit repeated form submissions; that record expires within about an hour.

The castings and jobs we summarise from other organisations describe roles and companies. We do not collect personal data about individuals from them.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To reply to you, process your registration and run your account: to take steps you ask for, and for our legitimate interest in running the service.
  • To keep the site safe and stop abuse and spam: our legitimate interest.
  • To send the confirmation and service emails connected to what you did: the same bases. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.
  • To meet legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Who sees it

Our team sees what you send us. We use service providers to host the site and deliver email, currently our web hosting and email provider, IONOS; they process data only on our instructions. We may disclose data where the law requires it or to protect people from harm, and to a buyer if the business is sold, subject to this policy. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Content you choose to publish on a profile or casting is public.

Links to other sites

Many castings link to the page where the hirer posted them. When you follow a link or apply there, you leave Meridian Models, and that site’s own privacy policy governs what it does with your information.

Cookies and similar storage

The public pages set no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and load no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. WordPress sets login cookies only when our staff sign in. Castings you “save” are kept in your browser’s local storage on your own device and are never sent to us. Because we do not sell or share personal data for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of; we also respect browser signals such as Global Privacy Control.

How long we keep it

We keep registration and contact records for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them, unless we need them longer to meet a legal duty or settle a dispute. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for the period it sets.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time. If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these are your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR; if you live in California, you also have the right to know what we collect, to delete and correct it, and not to be treated worse for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal data, as those terms are defined in California law.

To use any of these rights, write to business@meridianmodels.com or use the contact page. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will answer within the time the law allows, normally within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

We are a United States company, so data you give us is processed in the United States. Our providers may process it in other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on recognised safeguards for those transfers.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data, such as serving the site over HTTPS and limiting who can see sign-up records. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent to or stored on the site will never be accessed by others.

Children

Meridian Models is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, if the change is significant, say so on the site.
